Comparative Studies of Two Kinds of Sensorless Starting Techniques for Switched Reluctance Motors
摘要
Abstract
The sensorless starting technique is still a challenge for switched reluctance motors (SRMs). In this paper, the conventional idle phase current comparison based starting method is improved, and meanwhile the idle phase inductance double-thresholds based method is proposed. In the former method, the idle phase currents are compared for estimating the commutation signal, and to drive the machine; and in the latter method, the idle phase inductances are compared with two preset inductance thresholds to estimate the turn-on and turn-off signals for the other two phases. The two sensorless starting methods are compared through theoretical analysis. At last, the experiments verify the validity of the two kinds of sensorless starting methods, and validate the correctness of the theoretical analysis.关键词
