Relationship of Ant Tribe's Motivation, Need Satisfaction, and Subjective Well-being
摘要
Abstract
Objective: Following self-determination theory to explore the impact of the autonomous and controlled motivation of staying in Beijing on subjective well-being and the mediating effect of basic psychological needs satisfaction. Methods: Data were collected from 171 graduated students called Ant Tribe, working in Beijing, with Self-concordance Scale, Need Satisfaction Scale, Satisfaction With life Scale (SWLS) and Positive Affect and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS) and were analyzed by linear regression. Results: Subjective well-being could be positively predicted by autonomous motivation and negatively predicted by controlled motivation. The relationship between autonomous and controlled motivation and subjective well-being was completely mediated by the satisfaction of basic psychological needs. Conclusion: The subjective well-being of Ant Tribe could be promoted by autonomous motivation and undermined by controlled motivation, and the satisfaction of basic psychological needs played mediating roles between the relationships.关键词
