Doppler Radar Echo Analysis of A Heavy Rainfall Process in Benxiduring August 28 and 29, 2011

Abstract
Based on the conventional meteorological data, satellite images and Doppler radar products of Yingkou station, the heavy rainfall during August 28 and 29, 2011 in Benxi was comprehensively analyzed. Results showed that this heavy rain was caused by the westerly trox, the shear line in lower layer and the strong warm-wet air of subtropical high edge. The basic reflectivity images indicated that there was a strong echo center with the intensity of 45 -55 dBz existing in the mixed precipitation clouds. The "train effect" of the convective cloud cluster was beneficial to heavy rainfall. The Doppler velocity images showed that this heavy rainfall was primarily characterized by low-level jet and adverse wind area.关键词
