Abstract

The clearance gauge of the railway vehicle is a basic condition to ensure the safe operation of vehicles. In order to measure the clearance gauge of the railway vehicle fast, accurately, and automatically, based on the electronically controlled moving mechanism and laser ranging sensors, a clearance gauge measuring system of the non-contact, automatic vehicle is established in this text. According to the operation principle and structural composition of the system, calibration method is studied and a special calibration attachments is designed. This method is convenient and practical, which can complete the local calibration and system calibration of measuring system at a time on the spot. After verifications, the measurement accuracy of this system is better than 0. 5 mm, meeting the requirements of static clearance gauge measurement of high-speed railway vehicle.
