Abstract
Objective To evaluate the imaging features ofnon-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) of the head and neck on magnetic resonance scans.Methods The imaging of MR was retrospectively analyzed in 12 patients with histopathologically proved NHL of the head and neck.Results There were four types of lesion appearances.Mass type was in 4 patients,diffusion type was in 3 patients,multinodular enlargment was in 3,and mixed type was in 2.The lesions developed in cervical lymphonode group in three patients,in palatine tonsil in one patient,and in Waldeyer's ring in 8 patients.The lesions were slightly hypointensed on T1WI and slightly hyperintensed on T2WI in MRI.They were moderately enhanced after contrast administration.Pathological classification revealed 10 cases of NHL were originated from B-cell and 2 were from NK/T-cell.Conclusions NHL of the head and neck has some characteristic imaging features.The image manifestations have certain correhtion with pathological types.MRI can clearly demonstrate the position,shape and range of lymphoma of the head and neck,and it plays an important role in the differential diagnosis.关键词
