A study on 1.5 T Siemens magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging for white matter in children

Abstract
Objective To explore the application of magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging for detecting the development of white matter in children.Method 32 children of different ages were randomly selected and then divided into five groups.Diffusion tensor imaging was used to detect the FA and ADC values of different parts of the white matter.The findings were analyzed and compared.Results The FA values did not differ statistically from the ADC values in the left and right sides of the brain regions of interest (P> 0.05).There were significant differences in the ADC and FA values in different parts of the white matter at different ages,manifesting that the ADC values decreased with age while the FA values increased with age; and the values differed significantly at the same age (P<0.05).Conclusions Diffusion tensor imaging can effectively reflect the development of the white matter.It is of great significance in the detection and prevention of the lesions in the brain.关键词
