Chirp scaling imaging algorithm for synthetic aperture sonar based on data fusion of multi-receiver array

Abstract
The different locations for the transmitter and receiver array elements in the multi-receiver synthetic aperture sonar (SAS) make the course of slant range become the sum of two individual hyperbolic functions. Thus, it is very difficult to get the range-Doppler domain and two-dimensional frequency domain analytical expressions, which are indispensable parts for multi-receiver SAS fast imaging algorithms. This paper considers the contributions of transmitter and receiver phase history to the Doppler frequency of azimuth phase separately. As a result, the time domain echo data in the multi-receiver array pattern is identical to a two-dimensional convolution of quasi-monostat-ic and bistatic deformation terms. Therefore, after removing the bistatic deformation term, the multi-receiver SAS may be transferred into a conventional monostatic SAS imaging problem. Based on the premise of transferring the multi-receiver SAS into a conventional monostatic SAS imaging problem, a Chirp Scaling (CS) imaging algorithm study was conducted. Finally, the simulation and lake trial results show the validity of the proposed method.关键词
