RW-splint治疗前后患者颞下颌关节间隙的变化
Investigate the change of temporomandibular joint spaces after RW-splint treatment

Abstract
Objective To investigate the change of tempororomandibular joint spaces after RW-splint treatment in patients with temporomandibular disorder (TMD). Methods Eighteen patients with symptom of TMD were selected to receive RW-splint treatment, Cone-beam CT( CBCT) were performed before and after treatment.Linear measurements of joint spaces were made to evaluate the position of the condyle. Results RW-splint could lessen anterior and lateral space, increased superior, posterior and mesial space, but the results have no significant differences (P>0.05). Conclusions RW-splint made the condyle move anteriorferiorly and laterally. The study suggests that regulating the position of the condyle is considered one of biomechanical mechanism of RW-splint treatment.关键词
