Reopen the Path of Endogenous Development: Rethinking the Roles and Functional Mechanism of Township and Village Enterprises in the Development of Small Towns in Sunan

Abstract
As urbanization process deepens in Sunan, the roles of small towns in creating a healthy urbanization pattern is worth rethinking. The paper takes the accumulation of rural enterprise capital as a thread to discuss the impacts of township and village enterprise (TVEs) on small town development. The paper attempts to construct an analytical framework of "industrial capital growth-evolution of small towns", which contains issues of capital expansion, space function and feedback mechanism in an endogenous growth prospective. It explains the functions of TVEs and how they drive Sunan's rural industrialization and industrial capital accumulation during two periods, namely double-track economy period and market period. This paper suggests that it is necessary to provide support for the endogenous capital accumulation model centered on TVEs. And path of industrial upgrading through "getting rid of low-end value chain lock" as a long-term regional development strategy should be adopted to transform Sunan.关键词
