In order to achieve on-line programming of Freescale HCS12 series MCU, a universal downloading programmer is designed by the method of software architecture and portability. Through a lot of early programming experiments of Freescale HCS12 MCU chip series, common and difference features of Freescale HCS12 MCU series are obtained. Programming of Freescale HCS12 MCUs is implemented through software designing, and focus is put on the key technology of versatility and high - speed downloading of the programmer.
