Abstract
Objective To evaluate the correlation of CDK4 mRNA expression with the clinicopathologic feature of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Methods cDNA microarray was used to determine differential gene expression in NPC and nasopharyngeal tissues. Real-time PCR was used to confirm the differential expression of CDK4 mRNA in NPC and nasopharyngeal tissues. The correlation of CDK4 mRNA expression with the clinicopathologic feature of NPC patients was analyzed. Results CDK4 expression was markedly increased in NPC in comparison with nasopharyngeal tissues. An increased expression of CDK4 was positively correlated with the size of NPC, lymph node metastasis and clinical stage. Conclusion CDK4 overexpression may promote the carcinogenesis of NPC.关键词
