Experimental Study on Performance of Dogbone Moment Connections Considering Local Buckling
摘要
Abstract
Domestic and international research results show that dogbone connections are capable of keeping plastic hinge regions away from beam ends and have good plastic deformation capacity. However, the beam flange is weakened in the dogbone connection,and then the beam bending stiffness deteriorates, so the local buckling and lateral buckling issues raise more concern. This paper used the pseudo-static experimental method,investigated the effect of the local buckling on the moment connection performance,and attempted to use a method of arranging stiffeners in order to restrict the local deformation of the weakened area. The results show that if the stiffeners are arranged reasonably in the region of weakened flange, the appearance of local buckling can be delayed, the strength and stiffness deterioration can be improved,and the carrying capacity and plastic deformation capacity of the connections can be increased.关键词
