摘要

Abstract

Objective:To study the influence of microwave twice sintering method on the sintering property. Vickers hardness and microstucture of nano-meter zirconia ceramic for dental use. Method: 30 samples were randomly divided equally into two groups. Group one was sintered by manufacturers recommend conventional second-time sintering process. Group two was sintered by microwave second-time sintering process. After sintering, six samples from each group were used for measuring sintered density. The other six samples were used for measuring the Vickers hardness. And the rest three samples from each group were scanned by scanning electron microscopy. Result: The sintered density and Vickers hardness of the microwave sintered dental nano-zirconia were superior to the conventional group. There were significant differences (P <0.05). The crystal granules of microwave second—time sintered nano—zirconia were closely spaced,and they are smaller than the conventional sintered group. Conclusion: Part of the mechanical properties of nano-zircinia sintered by microwave second-time sintered were superior to the conventional sintered. The results suggest that microwave second-time sintering process could be applied to the secone-time sintering of dental nano-zirconia to shorten sintering time.
