Effect of Carding Cylinder Speed on Impurity Elimination

Abstract
Effect of carding cylinder speed on impurity in card sliver, breaker sliver and intermediate sliver were researched. AFIS was used to test impurity in the three slivers. The result shows that impurity is reduced as cylinder speed increases. Total numbers of impurity in breaker sliver are similar when cylinder speed is 296 r/min and 350 r/min. Total numbers of impurity in breaker sliver are reduced when cylinder speed is increased from 394 r/min and 450 r/min, impurity in intermediate sliver is reduced as cylinder speed increases. In draft process, impurity could be crumbled and cause much more impurity in breaker sliver. It is considered that it is critical to select rational cylinder speed for neps and impurity in decrease.关键词
