Abstract

The bed separation is a space that is formed after coal seam mining by the upper and lower layered rock deflection out of sync during sinking of the overlying rock. The groundwater that accumulated in the bed separation space is the water in bed separation. Through analyzing the water-inrush case in bed separation in the Jining Ⅱ coal mine, the author elaborated factors and formation conditions of water in bed separation, and the mechanism of hydrostatic water-inrush in bed separation, meanwhile, is put forward with the risk identification methods and prevention-control measurements of hydrostatic water-inrush in bed separation. The mechanism of hydrostatic water-inrush in bed separation is that the confining bed below the bed separation cannot bear the hydrostatic pressure of bed separation and leads to water-inrush. The possibility of water-inrush can be evaluated with the water inrush coefficient formula. The accumulation of more and more groundwater in bed separation and the following accident of sudden water inrush can be avoided effectively through breaking the closeness of the bed separation, such as drilling a drainage hole along the mining face trough tilt up to the bed separation in advance. It is proven that the hydrostatic water-inrush in bed separation can be predicted, prevented and controled.
