Abstract
Objective To investigate the curative effect of peritoneal dialysis( PD )on children with acute kidney injury( AKI ) induced by wasp stings. Methods Retrospective analysis was made in 17 children with AKI induced by wasp sting from Southwest Hospital,Xinqiao Hospital, and Hospital 324 of PLA since 2000. According to the therapeutic outcomes, they were divided into non -survival group and survival group. Comparison and analysis were made in the average length of stay in ICU, total volume of PD, the duration time of PD treatment, the interval time between the wasp sting and the beginning time of PD. Comparison was also made in the APACHE Ⅱ score, sequential organ failure assessment SOFA ) score, oxygenation index, serum creatinine( Cr ), blood urea nitrogen ( BUN ),and mean arterial pressure( MAP )before and 48 hours after the treatment on PD. Results ( 1 )The APACHE Ⅱ and SOFA scores of the non - survival group were significantly higher than those of the survival group all the time. The length of stay in ICU, the total volume of PD, the duration time of PD treatment, and the interval time between wasp sting and the beginning time of PD treatment in the non - survival group were significantly higher or longer than those in the survival group( P <0. 01 ). ( 2 )In the non - survival group, the APACHE Ⅱ score,SOFA score, oxygenation index,Cr,BUN,and MAP 48 hours after the PD treatment were not improved insignificantly( P > 0.05 ). Those indexes in the survival group were all significantly improved 48 hours after the treatment (P <0. 01 ). Conclusion Early initiation of PD is an effective adjunctive therapy for children with AKI induced by wasp sting. APACHE Ⅱ and SOFA score have guiding significance for the judgment on their prognosis.关键词
