Abstract
Objective To find a simple,fast and effective method in treatment of complex infected wounds through clinical application, outcome analysis and discussion of precautions of an effectively combined technique,continues vacuum sealing drainage with irrigation. Methods Retrospectively, we analyzed 22 cases with complex infected wounds treated with continuous vacuum sealing drainage with irrigation,and summarized the clinical advantages of this technique in repairing and reconstruction of infected and damaged soft tissue. Results All 22 cases treated with this combined technique (VSDI) obtained excellent results which otherwise can not be achieved by the traditional methods and simple vacuum sealing drainage. Conclusion Continues vacuum sealing drainage with irrigation,a newer technique,can thoroughly get rid of secretions and necrotic tissue from dead spaces and wound surfaces,and therefore,it enhances infection control and wound healing. This technique is easy to master and use, and has advantages over simple vacuum sealing drainage technique for treatment of complex infected wounds.关键词
