Measuring analysis of buccal corridors in esthetic smiles
摘要
Abstract
Objective To measure and analyse the buccal corridors in esthetic smiles and provide a criterion for evaluation of smile aesthetical characteristics. Methods 20 frontal photographs of esthetic smile face were choosen by three experienced orthodontists. The width and area of buccal corridors and total smile space were measured respectively and the ratio were calculated. Results The width and area ratio of buccal corridors and total smile space were 9.85 ±1.26% and 4.86 %± 1.82% respectively. Conclusion The results obtained in this study can be used as one of objective standard for the diagnostics and treatment of smile esthetics in orthodontic clinic.关键词
