The bone mineral density of all patients including lumbar spine, femoral neck were detected using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry produced by the U. S. company GE. The correlation analysis of gender, age, duration of diabetes, glycosylated hemoglobin, body weight index, microalbu-minuria, diabetic vascular disease, low-density lipoprotein and BMD was performed. Results The correlation of osteoporosis in type 2 diabetes with gender, age, duration of diabetes, glycosylated hemoglobin, body weight index, microalbumin-uria was found out and had a statistical significance but no significant correlation with diabetic vascular disease, low-density lipoprotein.
