Association between Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms in FCER1B and STAT6 Genes and Wheat Allergy

Abstract
Objective To investigate the association between the single nucleotide polymorphisms in FCER1B and STATS genes and genetic susceptibility of wheat allergy. Methods Loci of rs569108 in FCER1B and rs324015 in STAT6 were genotyped by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism among 63 cases of wheat allergic patients, 75 cases of non-wheat allergic patients and 197 healthy controls, respectively. The specific IgE levels of subjects were detected and the relevance of the specific IgE levels with genetic locus was evaluated. Results The differences were not statistically significant between wheat allergic patients and non-wheat allergic patients or between wheat allergic patients and healthy controls on genotype frequency distribution and allele frequency distribution of rs569108 and rs324015. Neither rs569108 in FCER1B nor rs324015 in STAT6 is associated with wheat allergy. Conclusions Loci of rs569108 in FCER1B and rs324015 in STAT6 might be not associated with wheat allergy.关键词
