摘要

Abstract

This paper gives a brief review of short-millimeter wave and terahertz linear-beam vacuum devices including the analysis on devices types, high frequency structures and corresponding frequencies. Results of W-band travelling wave tube, backward wave oscillator (BWO) and slow wave structures manufactured by MEMS techniques are chiefly introduced. The design and simulation results of 220 GHz pencil beam and sheet beam folded waveguide BWO are also introduced.The impedance and field flatness across the beam section were alsoresearched which lay a good foundation for high frequency devices design.
