摘要

Abstract

Gyrotrons are fast-wave vacuum electron devices based on the stimulated radiation, of electron cyclotron resonance. They are able to deliver powerful radiation in terahertz frequency bands with high efficiency. In this paper, the current status and development of terahertz gyrotrons are reviewed, the characteristics and prospective applications are discussed.
