Abstract

This paper designs an SOPC system based on dual MicroBlaze soft cores processor for embedded system, which can realize synchronization, communication and interrupt functions between two soft cores, increase information throughput and system flexibility, and reduce the size of the equipment. It achieves synchronization between two processors through Mutex module, realizes communication and interrupt functions through Mailbox module, and bulk communication function by sharing BRAM module. It is effectively validated. The SOPC system is implemented and verified on XUPV5-LX110T development board. Testing results show that synchronization, communication and interrupt functions between two soft cores are effectively completed, the desired effect is achieved, and effectiveness of the design is verified.
