Survey on the reproductive health knowledge of married women in Foshan Xiqiao

Abstract
Objective To understand the knowledge level of reproductive health of married women in Xiqiao town,and to provide a basis for the further development of health education intervention.Method 1026 married women were extracted from Xiqiao of Foshan by the stratified sampling method.Results The overall awareness rate of reproductive health knowledge was 57.09％.The lowest awareness rate of abortion was 40.22％,and the fertility and other knowledge rate up to 72.25％.There were some difference in the total knowledge score among the age,number of children,household registration,education level,spouse education level,monthly income and menarche age.The major source of the married women access to reproductive health knowledge reproductive health knowledge was mostly up to consulting a doctor (55.26％),and a minimum of the hotline (6.7％).The desired source was up to select hospital doctors consulting (55.31％),and the least is companions (11.76％).And the knowledge that the women anxious to know including gynecological disease prevention and control (78.18％),hazards and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (46.12％),sexual physiology and health knowledge (45.09％).Conclusion Reproductive health education should enhance the technical services for family planning and reproductive health services network,and be more effective to the reproductive health of the married women.关键词
