Influence of comprehensive nursing intervention on life quality of postoperative chemotherapy period in the patients with breast cancer

Abstract
Objective To explore the essentiality and effectiveness of comprehensive nursing intervention for chemotherapy period in the patients with breast cancer in order to provide theoretical foundation for nursing in the chemotherapy period. Methods 72 breast cancer patients were divided into experimental group and control group. The patients and their family members in the experimental group were conducted with chemotherapy - directed nursing intervention before chemotherapy, while the control group was conducted with nursing intervention only after chemotherapy. Quality of life in patients with chemotherapy was evaluated by using Quality of Life for Patients with Breast Cancer (QLQ — C30). Results The scores of physical function, role function and emotional function in the experimental group were significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05). The scores of fatigue, nausea and vomiting, pain, insomnia and loss of appetite in the experimental group were significantly lower than the control group (P < 0. 05). After the synchronous nursing intervention for paitents and their family members, reactions to chemotherapy reduced, quality of life improve significantly. Conclusion Comprehensive nursing intervention can improve the patients'cognitive abilities and state of mind, which is an effective measure for improving quality of life of patients.关键词
