Application of continuous quality improvement in the prevention of fistula complications in hemodialysis patients

Abstract
Objective To explore the role of continuous quality improvement in the prevention of complications in hemodialysis patients. Methods Complications in 80 maintenance hemodialysis patients with application of fistula were assessed. In order to achieve the purposes of continuous quality improvement, the procedures such as analysis of reasons, improvement of measures, information feedback and concomitant regulation for limitations were adopted. Results After a year, the incidence rates of fistula infection and allergy, fistula stenosis and embolism, puncture needle slippage, bleeding after pressing and hematoma decreased significantly (P<0.05 or P< 0.01). Conclusion Continuous quality improvement can continually reduce the incidence rate of fistula complications and nursing risk, and then improve the quality of dialysis nursing.关键词
