Abstract
Purpose To study the expression of NKD1 and p-catenin in normal colorectal mucosa, colorectal adenoma and colorectal carcinoma, and to investigate their roles in the development of colorectal cancer.Methods Expression of NKD1 and p-catenin was e-valuated by immunohistoehemistry in adjacent normal colorectal mucosa, adenomas and carcinoma.Results Positive expression rate of NKD1 in adjacent normal tissue was significantly higher than that in colorectal adenoma and carcinoma, and associated with the degree of differentiation, Dukes stages and lymph node metastasis ( P <0.05 ).Ectopic expression of p-eatenin in carcinoma was significantly higher than that in adjacent normal tissue, which was correlated with the degree of differentiation, Dukes stages and lymph node metastasis ( P < 0.05 ).Expression of NKD1 and ectopic expression of β-catenin were negatively correlated ( rs = -0.691, P < 0.01 ).Conclusions Downregulation of NKD1 with ectopic expression of β-catenin may relate to the occurrence and development of colorectal tumor.关键词
