Industrial Application of C8 Aromatics Isomerization Catalyst in a Large Plant

Abstract
The industrial application of a novel C8 aromatics isomerization catalyst RIC-200 in the 2" large aromatics plant of Yangzi petrochemical company was introduced. The results indicated that the RIC-200 catalyst had several outstanding characteristics, namely high activity, high selectivity and simple starting-up. The isomerization activity, ethylbenzene conversion and C8 aromatics yield over the RIC-200 catalyst at the WHSV of 4.0 h-1 were 23.10%, 32.76% and 98.06%, respectively. Compared to the same type of catalysts, the RIC-200 catalyst has the distinct advantages of high ethylbenzene conversion, C8 aromatics yield and p-xylene yield.关键词
