Synthesis and application of carboxyl undecyl methyl silicone oil

Abstract
Long chain carboxyl dichlorosilane monomer was synthesized by hydrosilylation using undecyle-nic acid and methyldichlorosilane as material, which was reacted with dimethyldichlorosilane and hexamethyld-isiloxane to prepare carboxyl undecyl methyl silicone oil with different molecular weight and different carboxyl content. The carboxyl silicone oil was mixed with amino silicone oil emulsion, and was applied on cotton fabric finishing. The influences of the molecular weight of carboxyl silicone oil, carboxyl content, the proportion ratio of carboxyl silicone oil and amino silicone oil on finishing effect were investigated. The results showed that the optimum finishing technology was: the molecular weight of carboxyl silicone oil was 6 000, carboxyl content was 12% and the proportion ratio of carboxyl silicone oil was 60%. The cotton fabric treated with the blended silicone oil had better softness and laundry resistance than that treated with amino silicone oil alone.关键词
