Investigation Characteristics of Density Logging While Drilling Under Different Deviation Angle Conditions

Abstract
In order to further enhance vertical resolution of density logging while drilling in the inclined wells and the horizontal wells, Monte Carlo simulation method is used to study the responses of the tool in the limestone formation. The vertical geometrical factors of density logging tool is obtained under different deviation angle conditions to study the three-dimensional investigation characteristics. The results show that variable law of vertical geometrical factors of near and far detectors is almost the same at the different deviation angles. The vertical resolution is different to the different deviation angles; And the vertical resolution increases with the deviation angle degree increasing, so effectively reflecting the changes of the tool detection depths, and providing important reference for the improvement of vertical resolution and the optimization design of logging tools.关键词
