Volar locking compression plate for treatment of distal radial type C fractures
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the locking compression plate in the treatment of distal radius type C fracture of the surgical method and clinical efficacy. Methods Open reduction and locking compression plate fixation were performed on 27 cases of distal radial type C fracture, Using the bone graft when necessary. Results 27 cases were followed up from 5 to 17 months after surgery, all got the bone healing. In accordance with the modified McBride wrist function evaluation criteria, the results were excellent in 19 cases, good in 6, and fair in 2. Conclusions Locking compression plate in treatment of type C fracture of distal radius provides better mechanical stability than ordinary steel plate, especially on unstable osteoporotic patients, which allows early postoperative functional exercise and have satisfaction of clinical curative effect.
