Abstract
Objective To establish a mouse model of Escherichia coli 0127 infection and to detect the TGF-β1 expression in the colon of mouse models by real-time PCR. Methods Thirty-six BALB/c mice (male: female = 1:1) were used in this study. Colon inflammation in the mice was induced by intragastric administration of Escherichia coli 0127. The expression of TGF-β1 in the colon tissue was analyzed using fluorescent quantitative PCR. Results The mouse models of colon inflammation were successfully established. The TGF-β1 expression level of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group. Conclusions Mouse models of colon inflammation can be successfully established by intragastric gavage of E. coli. Quantitative PCR detection of the TGF-β1 expression can be used as a standard of evaluation of the establishment of the mouse models.关键词
