摘要

Abstract

The reasonable casting process of nodular iron rear axle housing in forklift was designed, and the filling process and solidification process were simulated by numerical simulation software InteCAST, the main reasons for shrinkage cavity in the designed casting process were analyzed. Based on the simulation results of the defects, the optimum program of the casting process for nodular iron rear axle housing was put forward. The shrinkage cavity defects were eliminated by placing cold iron and vents to ensure directional solidification, and the defects-free rear axle housing castings were obtained.
