Application of Genetic Catastrophic Algorithm to Power Distribution System Reconfiguration

Abstract
Genetic catastrophic algorithm which inherits the advantages of catastrophic algorithm and genetic algorithm is presented for distribution network reconfiguration. According to the structure characteristics of distribution network, a power island checking method based on adjacency matrix is used to eliminate the unfeasible solutions after the genetic operation. Through the elite reserve and dynamic control mutation operator, the problem about the premature convergence of genetic algorithm is effectively solved. The proposed algorithm is applied to the IEEE 33-node system and 69-node system. Compared with the genetic algorithm, the reconfiguration results show the accuracy, feasibility and the outstanding optimization searching capability of the proposed genetic catastrophic algorithm.关键词
