Abstract
Objective To observe and analyze the effects of glucocorticoid application to anxiety and depression status of patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD).Methods From May 2010 to October 2012,56 cases diagnosed in our hospital for AECOPD were randomly divided into experimental group (29 patients) and control group (27 patients).The experimental group was treated with glucocorticoid treatment while the control group not.We observed two groups with anxiety and depression symptom scores and the occurrence.Results After treatment,lung function situation improved.After hormone therapy,patients in the experimental group with symptoms of depression and anxiety ratings had increased.After 2 weeks treatment,the experimental group patients with depression and anxiety symptom scores were higher than those of the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05),the experimental group anxiety and depression in patients (72.4%),while the control group was only 44.4%,and the difference was statistically significant (x2=4.52,P<0.05).Conclusion AECOPD patients originally have symptoms of anxiety and depression,and with the application of glucocorticoid drugs,the incidence of symptoms of anxiety and depression may increase.关键词
