Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of three surgery approaches for the treatment of supracondylar fractures of humerus in children.Methods 77 children with supracondylar fractures of humerus were randomized into 3 groups after diagnosis.Children in Group A underwent posterior tricep splitting approach,Group B underwent lingulate flap of tricep brachii approach,and Group C underwent bilateral tricep brachii approach.The surgical results of all cases were analyzed and compared.Results The incision closure time and duration of surgery of Group C were shorter than those of Group A and B (P ＜ 0.05 and P ＜ 0.01 respectively).The excellent and good rate of elbow function evaluation in Group C was higher than those in Group A and B (P ＜ 0.05).All the differences were statistically significant.Conclusion Bilateral tricep brachii approach is an effective approach for treatment of supracondylar fracture of humerus in children.关键词
