Effects of atorvastatin on the endothelial progenitor cell function in peripheral blood of patients with coronary heart disease
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of atorvastatin on the proliferation, migration, differentiation and colony formation of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) in peripheral blood of patients with coronary heart disease. Methods Mononuclear cells isolated from peripheral blood of 32 patients with coronary heart disease were analyzed and counted after being cultivating in vitro. Results EPCs quantity, proliferation rate and its number of adherent and migrating cells all increased as the administration of atorvastatin was prolonged. Conclusion Atorvastatin can enhance proliferation and differentiation of EPCs.关键词
