Adverse Effects of Polychlorinated Biphenyls Exposure on Male Reproductive Function
摘要
Abstract
Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are a classification of persistent organic pollutants that were widely used in the last century. Even though the commercial production of PCBs was banned at the end of the 1970s in many countries worldwide, they continue to be a health concern due to their lipophilic nature, persistence in the environment, and various exposure routes. The reproductive toxicity of PCBs has received considerable world-wide attention in recent years. The article reviewed polychlorinated biphenyl congeners and reproductive toxicity with a focus on dioxin-like PCB and indicator PCB. Discussion and perspectives for future research were also proposed.关键词
