Abstract
The effective management and monitoring for public service vehicles becomes an important subject that the transportation management department needs to be faced. In this paper, a public service vehicle monitoring system architecture and function is designed with integrated geographic information system (GIS) , global positioning satellite system (GPS) and general packet radio service (GPRS). The application of the open source GIS platform in the public service vehicle monitoring system is discussed. In the end, taking a garbage vehicle monitoring for example, a rubbish vehicle monitoring system is realized, which can provide references to the public service vehicle monitoring system construction and management.关键词
