成人癫痫患者血清超氧化物歧化酶的水平变化及意义
The serum level of superoxide dismutase and its significance in adult patients with epilepsy
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the role of superoxide dismutase (SOD) in adult patients with various types of epilepsy and various kinds of epilepsy in pathogeny. Methods The serum concentration of SOD was detected by colorime-try method in 50 adult epilepsy patients as experimental group and 50 healthy as normal control group. Results The serum SOD concentration in experimental group was significantly lower than that in normal control group (P <0. 01). However, there was no significant difference in SOD between men and women in each group. In experimental group, there was no significant difference in SOD between every two groups among the three groups according to the pathogeny of epilepsy and the types of seizure. Conclusions It is concluded that there might be the disturbance of SOD metabolism in adult epilepsy patients. Abnormal decreasing SOD probably takes part in the physiopathological course of epilepsy by means of damnifying the mitochondria, increasing the synthesis of excited neurotransmitter, and accelerating apoptosis of neuronal cells.关键词
