Mechanical Properties Characterization of Cellulose Nanofibrils/ PLA Composite and Its Preparation

Abstract
The cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs)/polylactic acid (PLA) nanocomposites were prepared by melt extrusion. The effect of surface property of unmodified CNFs, KH550 modified CNFs and CTAB modified CNFs on the mechanical property, Theological behavior and fracture surfaces of CNFs/ PLA composites were investigated. The results show that: the small amount of unmodified CNFs has a certain compatibility with PLA, but the compatibility decreases at high CNFs content. The dispersion of KH550 modified CNFs in PLA is improved at high CNFs content. Moreover, CTAB has hardly no compatible effect on CNFs and PLA, the mechanical property of PLA decreases sharply with the addition of CTAB modified CNFs.关键词
