Investigation and Analysis on the Cognition of Medical Staff about Standard Management and Use of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To comprehend the medical staff' s cognition toward the standard management and use of narcotics and psychotropic substances, and to provide reference for further improvement of management level and the rational use of those drugs. METHODS: According to the relevant laws and practical work in hospital,questionnaires investigation was conducted among doctors, nurses and pharmacists in our hospital. 410 questionnaires were sent out, of which 399 questionnaires were collected. The result of survey was analyzed statistically. RESULTS: The medical staff who were investigated had a quite well understanding of the relevant laws and regulations of narcotics and psychotropic substances. They also had some recognition of those drugs in aspects of composition of the hospital management department, requirements of managers, acquirement of the prescription rights, the "five special" management, system of follow-up and further consultation, three-step treatment principles, etc. CONCLUSION: The management and use of narcotic and psychotropic substances involve various knowledge. Medical institutions should strengthen the implementation of the regulations of management, train periodically the medical staff by a variety of ways, improve the level of management, and simplify the procedures of management.关键词
