枸杞多糖对NMDA致大鼠视网膜损伤保护作用的研究
Protective effect of lycium barbarum polysaccharides against NMDA-induced retinal damage in rats

Abstract
Aim To investigate the protective effects of lycium barbarum polysaccharides ( LBP ) on N-methyl-D-aspartate( NMDA )-induced rat retinal damage and its possible underlying mechanisms. Methods Retinal injury was induced by intravitreal injection of NMDA in rats. LBP ( 100, 200 and 400 mg · kg-1 ) were administered orally once a day 7days before NMDA injection for 14 consecutive days. Retinal damage was examined by histopathological evaluation, and the protein expressions were measured by Western blot. Result Oral administration of LBP (100, 200 and 400 mg · kg-1 ) attenuated the retinal damage ( a decrease in retinal ganglion cells and in thickness of inner plexi-form layer ) induced by NMDA injection. Moreover, LBP treatment suppressed the NMDA-induced increases in protein NMDAR2A and iNOS, and decreases in protein eNOS. Conclusion Our results indicate that LBP has protective effects against NMDA-induced rat retinal damage, and its protective effects may have been mediated via regulation of NMDAR2A and eNOS/ iNOS expression.关键词
