Abstract
Objective To discuss the expression status of YAP protein and its correlation with the malignant degree of prostate cancer.Methods Selected 100 prostate cancer patients from January 2005 to January 2007,then detected the expression of YAP protein in the cancer tissues (experimental group) and an adjacent tissues (control group) of these patients with im-munohistochemtry,and then analysis the results.Results There was significanc differences in the degree of positive expression of YAP protein of the control group and experimental group.And the positive rate was 74% and 42%, respectively, which was statistically significant (χ2=21.02, P<0.05).The positive staining degree of YAP protein was statistically significant in patients with different concentration of PSA,TNM stages or Gleason scores (P<0.05).But the positive degree of YAP protein expression had no differences in patient with different ages (P>0.05).Conclusion The expression of YAP protein was higher in prostate cancer tissues than adjacent tissues,especially,in invasive prostate cancer tissues.YAP protein may be involved in the occurrence of prostate cancer, and play an important role in the invasion and metastasis of prostate cancer,and YAP could be a candidate diagnostic and prognostic biomarker for prostate cancer.关键词
