Establishment on mouse model of primary hepatic Echinococcus multilocularis by transhepatic injection

摘要

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate a new method of transhepatic injection to establish primary E-chinococcus multilocularis (E. m) model in liver of mouse. The 120 healthy female mice of 12-week-old were randomly divided into three groups as follows: transhepatic injection through skin incision and musculi abdominis, laparotomic transhepatic injection, and percutaneous transhepatic injection (40 in each group). By giving intraperitoneal injection with 20% Urethane, every mouse was injected with E. m tissue suspension respectively through three different operational methods to establish mimic primary E. m model in liver of mouse. Results showed that the survival rates of mice of the three groups were 85%, 75% and 80%, respectively (P>0. 05); the E. m infection rates in liver of mouse were 70. 6%, 70. 0% and 62. 5%, respectively (P>0. 05) ; and the incidence of inadvertent puncture of pleural were 0% , 0% and 25% , respectively (P<0. 01). A primary E. m model in liver of mouse can be successfully established by the method of transhepatic injection through skin incision and musculi abdominis, which was not only simplified the operation of laparotomic transhepatic injection but also reduced the incidence of inadvertent puncture of pleural following percutaneous transhepatic injection by transhepatic injection through skin incision and musculi abdominis.
