Reliability and Validity of Resilience Scale for Adults in Nurses
摘要
Abstract
Objective To examine the reliability and validity of Resilience Scale for Adults ( RSA ) in nurses in China. Methods Item analysis and confirmatory factor analysis of RSA was conducted. A total of 445 nurses were randomly divided into 2 groups using random number table. One group was used to revise RSA and the other to evaluate its reliability and validity. Results Confirmatory factor analysis of the original RSA showed that x2/df, CFI, IFI, AGFI, RMSEA were 1. 808 , 0.77, 0. 78, 0. 72, and 0. 093, respectively. The number of item was reduced to 19 based on exploratory factor analysis results, including five factors which explained 57. 665% of the total variance. Factor loading ranged from 0. 446 to 0. 828. Coefficient of internal consistency ranged from 0. 657 to 0. 856 and the 4 - week test - retest reliabilities ranged from 0. 770 to 0. 840. The factor scores were closely correlated with the total scores with correlation coefficient ranging from 0. 698 to 0. 749. The factors were closely correlated with each other with correlation coefficient ranging from 0. 272 to 0. 682. The confirmatory factor analysis of the revised RSA showed that x2/df, CFI, IFI, AGFI, and RMSEA were 1. 862, 0.90, 0.90, 0.85, and 0.062, respectively. The total scores and all factors were positively correlated with positive psychology and perception of social support scale, and negatively correlated with anxiety and depression. Conclusion The revised RSA has good psychometric properties and can be used to measure the resilience of nurses.关键词
