医学生义工服务对晚期癌症患者情绪及生活质量的影响研究
Impact of Volunteer Service Provided by Medical Students on Emotions and Quality of Life of Patients with Advanced Cancer

Abstract
Objective To investigate the impact of volunteer service provided by medical students on emotions and quality of life ( QOL) of patients with advanced cancer. Methods Sixty - two patients with advanced cancer were randomly divided into the treatment group ( n = 32 ) and the control group ( n = 30 ) using envelope - picking method. Patients in the treatment group received conventional care and volunteer household service, and patients in the control group only received conventional care. QOL scale, Hamilton anxiety ( HAMA ) scale, and Hamilton depression ( HAMD ) scale were used to assess the QOL, anxiety, and depression of the patients in the two groups before and after the study. Results Before the intervention, QOL, anxiety, and depression was not significantly different between the two groups ( P > 0. 05 ). After the intervention, patients in the treatment group had higher QOL ( 35 ±6 ) vs. ( 32 ±7 ), and lower scores of anxiety ( 16 ±5 ) vs. ( 20 ±4 ) and depression ( 22 ±5 ) vs. ( 29 ±9 ) than those in the control group ( P <0. 05 ). Conclusion The volunteer service provided by medical students can improve QOL and relieve or mitigate depression and anxiety of patients with advanced cancer.关键词
