Performance of epoxy resin/polyamide-amine curing agent system using epoxy cyclohexene as reactive diluents

摘要

Abstract

Epoxy cyclohexene(ECH) was used as the reactive diluents in the DGEBA/polyamide-amine(PAMAM) curing system. The viscosity and curing behavior of the curing system, the mechanical properties and fracture surface of cured products were investigated by viscometer, mechanical performance tester, differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The results show that with the addition of ECH, the viscosity of the curing system which is 1.2 × 104 mPas, declines sharply to 180 mPa·s when the addition content of ECH is 25% (mass fraction). The curing system releases more heat and the curing temperature rises after ECH is added. The tensile and bending properties of cured product are close to cured product without diluent when the dosage of ECH is 15%. Before and after the addition of ECH, the fracture of cured products is tough.
