松鼠贮食时对红松松塔的选择特征
Cone Selection of Eurasian Red Squirrels (Sciurus vulgairs) Hoarding Behavior
摘要
Abstract
The research aims to reveal the Sciurus vulgaris' selectivity of Pinus koraiensis cones during hoarding pine seeds.[Method] According to line-transect investigation,we collected and measured the data of length and width of the cone cores abandoned by Sciurus vulgaris while they hoarded.Then the obtained data were analyzed by quantitative evaluation standard that we previously established.[Result] No matter in which hoarding phase,Sciurus vulgaris were apt to select the larger cones for storage and hoarded the largest cones within 150-300 m away from the parent forest.[Conclusion] During hoarding pine seeds,Sciurus vulgaris selected the larger pine cones in order to reduce energy consumption and gain the maximum energy incomes.关键词
