面状要素渐进式传输中几何信息传递状况的定量分析方法
A Quantitative Analysis of Geometrical Information Transfer in Progressive Transmission of Area Features

Abstract
As an efficient way of data transmission over Web,the progressive transmission plays an important role in the multi-representation of spatial data.It is able to meet the need of different levels of spatial information for the users,thus reaches to the efficiency of map service.Quantitative analysis of spatial information content in the process of progressive transmission makes it possible to control the real time transmission process.For this purpose,the changes accumulation model of an area feature was taken as the model of information transfer,and further the information theory was employed to analyze quantitatively the geometrical information transferred in the progressive transmission of area features.Firstly,a partition bases on convex hull of an area feature was proposed from the view of spatial cognition and a quantitative measurement of the information content for a convex hull was proposed.Secondly,a set of evaluation indicators of transmission information were put forward to the quantitative analysis of transfer status.Finally,an experiment was provided to prove the accuracy and efficiency in controlling the transmission process of the proposed method to improve the geometrical information transmission efficiency.关键词
